4th Annual 12-Hour Run to End Homelessness

Global Running Day is Wednesday, June 5, and RunningWorks is hosting our fourth annual 12-hour Run To End Homelessness in Uptown Charlotte. Held the first Wednesday of June, Global Running Day is all about celebrating the sport of running. Running is not just for racers and marathoners. It’s a sport that people of a variety fitness levels can enjoy. Many organizations across the country use Global Running Day to bring awareness to special causes impacting their communities. Naturally, RunningWorks is using the day to raise awareness of issues impacting those who are homeless or living in poverty in the Carolinas.

The 12-hour run will begin at 6 a.m. on the corner of Trade and Tryon Street. RunningWorks team members and community volunteers will run relay-style for 12 hours. We are also setting up a tent in the city square to distribute information about homelessness in the Carolinas and our efforts to combat homelessness and poverty.

Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are available. For more information, please email us at volunteer@runningworks.org.
