Buddy Walk Event Marketing Coordinator (Volunteer)

The Down Syndrome Association of Greater Charlotte is seeking an event and marketing professional to help with the development of event and marketing materials for the 24th Annual Greater Charlotte Buddy Walk - our biggest fundraiser and celebration of the year. This position will be (remotely) managed by the Executive Director and will collaborate with the Program Coordinator and Board of Directors. Please note that this is a VOLUNTEER position. Candidates can work remotely from anywhere. We are seeking a minimum commitment of 3-5 hours weekly.

Primary Responsibilities
TASKS MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Event planning, design and production; specify staff and coordinate activities
Cooperate with marketing and PR to promote and publicize event
Conduct pre- and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes; provide feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders
Research market, identify event opportunities and generate interest
Admin tasks related to event marketing and social media, such as calendar updates, edits to marketing materials, website, Facebook check-ins, etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Strong writing skills
