Charlotte Family Housing seeks new members for Board of Directors

Charlotte Family Housing is looking to expand its Board of Directors. Some quick facts about serving on the Board of Directors at Charlotte Family Housing:
• The affairs of Charlotte Family Housing shall be managed by a Board of Directors.
• The number of Directors constituting the Board of Directors shall be 15.
• Each Director shall hold office for a term of three years, or until his or her death, resignation, retirement or removal or until his or her successor is elected and qualified.
• No individual shall be permitted to serve more than two consecutive terms as a Director; provided, however that a Director who has served less than half of an unexpired term shall thereafter be allowed to succeed himself or herself for two additional consecutive terms.
• Each Director is expected to actively participate in fundraising efforts and volunteer for Charlotte Family Housing over the duration of his or her term.
• No Director shall be entitled to or shall receive any remuneration or compensation for attendance to meetings of the Board of Directors or for any services rendered to the Corporation as a Director or a member of a committee of the Board of Directors; provided, however, that the Board of Directors may reimburse any Director for services rendered in any capacity to the Corporation other than as a Director or committee member.
• Current committees include: Development, Finance and Audit, and Governance.
• Directors are expected to attend bimonthly meetings. Members of committees will hold separate meetings, such as the Board’s Finance and Audit Committee, which holds biweekly meetings.
• The Board of Directors may permit any or all Directors to participate in a meeting by, or conduct the meeting through the use of, any means of communication by which all Directors participating may simultaneously hear each other during the meeting. A Director participating in a meeting by this means is considered to be present in person at the meeting.
