Clean Energy in the Southeast 2020: Continuing Legal Education

Course Goal:

This 6.0 hour CLE will explore current and upcoming legal issues relating to clean energy policy and law throughout the Southeast. Unlike past CLE Events, this CLE will be topic-based with legal expertise from the point of view of people working directly in the hot-button topic areas currently at issue in a number of states in the Southeast and at a federal level.

All attendees will receive 6.0 general North Carolina CLE credits. Attendees from states other than North Carolina are encouraged to attend and apply for credit in their own state.

Course Objectives:

Provide attendees with a breakdown, and legal analysis, of topics related to the implementation of clean energy policy and related issues in various Southeastern states;

Provide attendees current information that will be useful in the year ahead for Southeast energy issues; and

Specifically, attendees will have the opportunity to dive in and learn more about issues related to customer choice, regulatory reform, resiliency, utility scale solar, electric vehicles, and also get a ‘view from bench’ from commissioners.

Attendees will gain access to complimentary wifi, speaker bios and photos, and the PowerPoint slides. Attendees also have the opportunity to expand their professional network and meet individuals who will be a resource for future legal and regulatory development issues.
