Volunteer Opportunity:

Fundraising Volunteer - REMOTE

We are looking for a motivated individual to help with our fundraising efforts. This is a 100% remote role, with flexible hours. Volunteers can expect to work 2-5 hours monthly.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Working with staff to establish a fundraising plan that incorporates a series of appropriate vehicles, such as special events, direct mail, product sales, etc.
• Working with fundraising staff in their efforts to raise money
• Taking the lead in certain types of outreach efforts, such as chairing a dinner/dance committee or hosting fundraising parties, etc.
• Responsible for involvement of all board members in fundraising, such as having board members make telephone calls to ask for support, and
• Monitoring fundraising efforts to be sure that ethical practices are in place, that donors are acknowledged appropriately, and that fundraising efforts are cost-effective.

About our organization:
Raise a Child of the Carolinas (the RACC) is a 501 c3 non-profit organization focused on exposing youth to educational opportunities that are underrepresented in their communities, thus inspiring them to reach their full potential. The RACC organization was started in 2018 and provides local children with tutoring, seasonal camps and family programs and offers English as a Second Language programs as well. Throughout the pandemic, the RACC has also partnered with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools to offer in-person education solutions to supplement the remote learning process.
