Fundraising/Grant Writing Volunteer

1,2,3 JUMP is looking for a passionate individual seeking to support important movements and foster
communities. Fundraising is how you raise money for your organization. Grant writing is one type of fundraising activity. Grant writing includes asking foundations or government entities for support while other fundraising activities might target individuals and businesses.

Responsibilities:
 Must pass background screening.
 Write coherent, organized, and compelling proposals.
 Apply your knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach income/budgeting goals.
 Collaborate with team members in the organization to assist with other fundraising projects.
 Are responsible for discovering grant opportunities and building and maintaining relationships with
funders, donors, and others within the community.
 Responsible for developing and managing fiscal and annual grant proposal processes, as well as for
securing and managing all outside funding opportunities.

Relevant Skills, Competencies and Experience:
 Persuasively promoting non-profits’ missions and programs to potential donors.
 Excellent time management, attention to detail, and strong multi-tasking skills.
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 Leadership skills.
 Developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies.
 Strong literary skills.
 Strong organizational skills and proven problem-solving skills.
 Ability to balance working collaboratively and independently.
