Join us to learn more about these winged wonders and how you can attract them to your garden.

Susan Campbell, ornithologist, bird researcher, educator and consultant, is the North Carolina authority on hummingbirds. She has personally banded more than 2,000 hummingbirds of nine species and maintains the state database on hummingbird records and observations.

In addition to her work as a bird collection research associate with the N.C. State Museum of Natural Sciences, and year-round banding research conducted at Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve, Campbell is active in several volunteer endeavors including the American Birding Association, the Audubon Society and the Carolina Bird Club.
