Volunteer Opportunity:
Intern - General

This opportunity has passed.

Interns will learn the inner workings of a non-profit organization by assisting with all aspects of our business from Receptionist to Event Planning. Our interns begin with receptionist duties to learn more about what we do and will gradually work through all aspects of our organization. As they learn the different areas, and we learn their specific skill set and interests, they will move into a more defined role. Some of the areas interns will assist in are: answering phones and assisting clients with entering forms or navigating our website, fundraising and event planning, preparing and packing Bags of Hope, organizing programs, contacting clients to verify information and/or to make appointments. Schools we have worked with include University of North Carolina - Charlotte, Gaston Community College, Central Piedmont Community College, and Winthrop University. This is a great opportunity for those going into Social Work!
