Quack! Quack! KinderMourn will once again host its annual Hope Floats Duck Race on Sunday, April 29th at the U.S. National Whitewater Center. For 14 years KinderMourn has been splashing rubber ducks into the rapids on a race for Hope. Each little rubber duck, adopted by a member of the community, honors those that have died too soon and reminds us that at the end of every grief journey, there is hope and healing. The Hope Floats Duck Race is the signature fundraiser for KinderMourn providing the necessary funds to sustain our in house counseling services for bereaved parents and grieving children and teens as well as Helping The Hurt, our outreach program for grieving students throughout the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and in at-risk neighborhoods.
