Kiss a Frog Nature Hike at West Branch Preserve

Ever wanted to kiss a frog? If yes, then you’re in luck! This Valentine’s Day week, come find your Prince Charming on the West Branch Nature Preserve Trail. Many amphibian species breed in ponds during February, and West Branch Nature Preserve is home to nearly all amphibian species native to the piedmont region. If luck is on our side, we will learn to identify frogs, toads, and salamanders, and maybe even learn to distinguish specific frog calls. 1.0 MILE | EASY, NATURAL SURFACE HIKE | ALL AGES | NO DOGS PLEASE This hike is offered for FREE by Catawba Lands Conservancy (CLC), and Carolina Thread Trail (CTT). WHAT IS PROVIDED? Carolina Thread Trail leader First Aid WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING? Full water bottle Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots Snacks Warm layers and a hat
