LifeBoxes for troubled youth in Charlotte
At Youth Villages, we put safety first when treating at-risk youth. During the admission visit, we provide each family with lockboxes, window, and door alarms. The lockboxes provide the family and caregivers of the youth the comfort to know harmful items is out of reach for the youth.
The responsibility of preventing self-harm and suicide does not rest solely with the individual, but with their family, friends, and the community as well. Providing medication lockboxes to at-risk youth is one means of reducing suicide attempts and death by suicide. Be that change by educating, and helping at-risk youth, and families to properly store harmful items. By providing a LifeBox and items to Youth Villages, you are ensuring a future for a child in your community .
