Local Leadership Board Membership

The Local Leadership Board (LLB) implements and organizes community mission and
development activities. The LLB focuses on building capacity of the Association through
recruitment of corporate, medical, and community leaders. The LLB serves as the “face” of
the Association at the community level. Additionally, the LLB recommends volunteers
leaders to serve the Association at the Regional level.

The purpose of the Local Leadership Board is threefold:
* To increase revenue and resources through fundraising activities to support local programs
and services;
* To raise the profile of the American Lung Association in the communities we serve;
* To advocate for lung health through public policy initiatives

The Local Leadership Board (LLB) is an operational body of volunteer leaders. The LLB
focuses on building capacity, i.e. Mission, fund raising, and leadership, within an assigned
market or State. The LLB serves as the “face” of the Association at the community level.
Additionally, the LLB recommends volunteer leaders to serve the Association at the Regional
level.
