What We Do
We endeavor to support and empower individuals and families dealing with special needs or extraordinary challenges through education, support groups, social events, resources, and personal coaching. I am the father of 2 sons with special needs, both boys were born with a rare disorder and have multiple disabilities, however both boys have excelled past every prognosis given to them. Having walked over half my life as father to special needs children I have a deep empathy for fathers, parents, and families who often struggle against very difficult odds. We publish several newsletters, hold educational seminars on things such as financial management and taxes for special needs families, we develop support groups for fathers and families, social events and I do personal coaching for fathers who want to talk or are wanting to hear more of my experiences. I also do public speaking to encourage parents dealing with extraordinary challenges, and to raise awareness of the challenges within the special needs community. We are forming associations and partnerships with other non-profits that are actively working in the special needs community, as I believe that together we are stronger than one alone, and we can achieve a greater impact in our communities. We are also developing a Research & Wellness Resource that will provide a forum for interaction between people affected by special needs with access to doctors, researchers, nutritionists, counselors, and other professionals.
