What We Do

Bikin’ Dads Adventures was founded to work with area fathers, families and communities from around the region. Our goal is to provide outreach opportunities with hopes to “build stronger relationships one adventure at a time.”

Our Mission:
-Lead by Example
-An active life leads to a happy and healthy life
-Provide life connections, mentoring and friendships
-Build stronger relationships one adventure at a time

Fast forward to mid-2017, with adventures and connections successfully achieved, we decided to take it further and secured our 501(c)3 tax status. Averaging over 35 events a year, such as bicycle safety-skill clinics branded as our Rad Little Rodeo, our Pages & Pedals Tour promoting books and bikes both tools in adventure of the mind or body, various off-the-couch exploration trips. New for 2019 will be our Learn To Earn Helmet Initiative after hosting various events and travels throughout the various counties, one point stressed by our mission is safety and wellness. Safety, beginning with the ways to select a proper helmet as well as wear them for both adults and youth.

A personal favorite in the area of community engagement is partnerships within multiple county law enforcement groups, area county Parks and Recreation Departments, U.N.C.C., SUSTAIN Charlotte, Loaves & Fishes Charlotte, local YMCA’s, Trips For Kids, True Patriots Inc, InterBike’s Fall Cyclofest at U.S. National Whitewater Center and other events there. In June 2018, Oskar Blues ReeB Ranch in Brevard, N.C. requested us to co-host a Father’s Day weekend Community Event. Now as we prepare for 2019, we are already receiving request from groups such as various Boy Scouts of America and the V Foundation for Cancer Research which we’ll be partnering with them on the campus of N.C. State University in May 2019.

Interesting Info

What started as a Dad & Dream has now reached the lives of a core group of area Fathers & their own kids working with over 1,000 kids in a variety of events.
Have been able to host a variety of successful FREE COMMUNITY FESTIVALS every Fathers Day weekends for 2 years in a row!
Well, the question is, what are some our big, audacious goals.....? One vision is for us to obtain an "adventure van" to transport our gear & Dads to our events
