What We Do

The mission of Charlotte Family Housing is to empower working families experiencing homelessness to achieve long-term self-sufficiency through shelter, housing, supportive services and advocacy. We are an empowerment movement…a 2 (or more) year program that allows families experiencing homelessness to move from our shelter phase to our housing phase. 96% of the families we serve are single mothers and their children. We are in need of local folks to volunteer your time, your creativity and your skills.
We are a women-led, minority majority staffed nonprofit who exist to end family homelessness two or more generations at a time.
For more information, please visit our website at: charlottefamilyhousing.org To donate, please click DONATE NOW! from the Donate tab on our homepage. *We are always in need of several household items from our Give Shop Amazon Wish List. The link where you can help our families by shopping from home is right here on our SHARE Charlotte homepage. Thank you for thinking of CFH and the working families experiencing homelessness that we help empower to achieve life-long self-sufficiency.
