What We Do
We help Seniors to live and thrive in the home and community they love, for as long as possible, by providing vital volunteer services and social events. We are part of a nationwide movement of 260 "villages" around the country. We provide transportation; light repairs, housekeeping, and yard work; technical assistance with computers and cell phones; weekly grocery pickup and delivery; companionship visits and daily check-in calls to help eliminate loneliness and isolation; social events and outings to keep our seniors engaged with others out in the community; monthly "lunch and learns" on topics of relevance and interest; and much, much more.
Interesting Info
  • We have supported many Seniors and countless family members as well, by providing volunteer services, to help seniors, and provide some respite care for family.
  • The physical toll of loneliness and isolation has been compared to the equivalent of smoking 15 cigarettes per day!
  • We strive to touch and help as many Seniors as possible in the whole Charlotte Metro area by forming neighborhood groups, or "spokes" under our organization.
