What We Do
Davidson Village Network (DVN) is a social and support organization for older adults (55+) serving the Lake Norman Region. We are part of a nationwide movement of 250 "villages" around the country.
Our members receive transportation; assistance with errands, simple household chores and repairs and yard work; technical assistance; companionship visits and daily check in calls to help eliminate loneliness and isolation; social events and outings to keep our seniors engaged with others out in the community; and more!
We are seeking individuals interested in exploring volunteer opportunities at the organizational / operational / board levels. Board members are volunteers, who are active in the day-to-day operations of the organization.
Become part of a dynamic, community-immersed model – “The Village Movement” – growing across the country, representing an innovative approach to supporting older adults. Individuals with various skills and experience who have a decided interest in elder affairs and can help us grow, develop and realize our energized mission are encouraged to inquire.
