What We Do
Our mission is to "Increase sanitation in impoverished communities for an effort to decrease the transmission of noxious disease." We do this by educating the uninformed on issues concerning sanitation by conducting workshops; we also collect sanitizers, toiletries (unused body wash, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, and shaving materials), and gently worn shoes of any size/gender.
We donate everything we collect to homeless centers in Charlotte: “A Child’s Place”, “The Relatives”, “Home Development Inc.”, "A Better World", "Union County Community Center", and many more! So far we have raised $16,210, conducted several drives, donated over 14,328 toiletries, 2,523 pairs of shoes, recruited 48 members, and have broadcasted our mission using over 15 large media organizations!
The HelpHygiene Foundation was co-founded by Malika Rawal (Providence Day School Sophmore) and Simran Bhargava (Marvin Ridge Freshman).
