What We Do
Joedance Film Festival, founded in 2010 in memory of Joe Restaino, raises funds and awareness of rare pediatric cancers, specifically sarcomas, blastomas and brain tumors, for research and clinical trials at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, N.C. Joedance, held annually is committed to screen original films of producers, writers, and directors with a NOrth Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee connection. Joedance Film Festival is a 501(c)3 non profit foundation.

The chance of living more that five years after the initial osteosarcoma diagnosis is currently about 50%.
Donations of over $250,000 have been made to support research and clinical trials at Levine Children's Hospital.
In 2020 Joedance approved funding for a research tech at the pediatric cancer lab at Levine Children's.
