Lift Up Carolinas (formerly Assistance League of Charlotte) is a volunteer-powered nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families across the Charlotte area. Through hands-on programs that provide clothing, food, educational support, and mentoring, Lift Up Carolinas works to meet urgent needs and create lasting impact. From supplying school uniforms and hygiene kits to hosting mobile food pantries and supporting youth through Teen Court, the organization lifts up those most at risk with compassion, dignity, and practical help—one family at a time.
- Provided 9,920 children with new clothes & school supplies; fed 10,863 in high poverty schools; gave 13 college & 495 community scholarships.
- 197 member volunteers generated 53,704 hours of community service on behalf of local children.
- Expand our programs to feed, clothe, mentor and educate more high poverty children by increasing sales in our Thrift Shop which provides 70% of our revenue.
