ourBRIDGE for KIDS

ourBRIDGE for KIDS is recruiting Classroom and Reading Support Volunteers for the 2022-2023 school year! Our afterschool program at our site in East Charlotte will start on September 26th. Our afterschool program at our site in South Charlotte will start on October 10th. We'll have 100 K-5 and 50 middle schoolers enrolled at our East Charlotte site. The volunteer hours are as follows: Elementary school- 3:30-5:30 PM Middle School- 3:30-5:30 PM Address: 3925 Willard Farrow Dr, Charlotte, NC 28215 We're opening a new site in the South Boulevard area for 75 K-5 kids from Starmount and Montclaire Elementary. The volunteer hours are 3:30-5:30 PM. Address: 5338 Nations Ford Rd. Charlotte, NC 28217 Volunteers who work with BRIDGE kids must: Show proof of COVID-19 vaccination Pass a background check ($20 fee) Commit to volunteering once a week for 2 hours, for 10 weeks As a classroom support volunteer at ourBRIDGE, you would have a unique opportunity to become a part of a loving community that supports the well-being and acculturation of newly arrived and first generation children. If you are someone who loves kids, getting messy with slime, and climbing trees then this is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! As a volunteer you would assist kids in their daily activities, help them with their homework, and play with them.
