Group Mentor Leader

Group Mentor Leader plays a key role in providing a safe place for young adults to feel empowered to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their potential and become active youth leaders. Group Leaders are community base positions and require a year long commitment.

Job Duties

~Responsible for supporting a group of young adults through an ongoing relationship and mentoring.

~Serve as a positive role model for high school students.

~Responsible for planning and participating in structured activities with young adults during group sessions and outside group activities. ~Responsible for establishing a trusting and safe group environment.

~Build self-esteem and motivation amongst young adults. 

~Responsible for maintaining accurate attendance records and keeping up to date documentation ~Ongoing communication to students and parents throughout the program year.

This person has to exhibit a passion with working with a diverse group of youth and partners. Have the ability to talk to a group of people on a regular basis on many different topics. The Group Mentor Leader will be the main contact for participants in program.

The group meets once a month on the 3rd Saturday of the month to complete their Leadership Development Classes.

The Commitment will be from August - June with a team training taking place at the end of July.
