Learning Help Centers of Charlotte (LHCC)

Our volunteers are paired with a child from Kindergarten-Early High School to tutor and mentor each week, help with reading, and homework. You build a relationship, help them with their homework and study skills, and read books to improve literacy and fluency in English. The goal is to be with the same student each week, but this may change based on attendance. Tutoring is every Tuesday evening from 6-7PM at St. Andrews Methodist Church; 1901 Archdale Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. This volunteer opportunity is open to high school and college students, and adults. This volunteer opportunity is paused during the summer months.
