Shelter Volunteer (Front Desk)

Please note that you MUST be a registered volunteer. This is a scheduled long-term volunteer activity. You will need to email estinson@roofabove.org to schedule a time to meet/discuss opportunity and to shadow a lead volunteer.
The Shelter Volunteer is the first person to greet shelter guests, volunteers, and visitors. Centrally located, the Shelter Volunteer will be in prime position to welcome individuals to the shelter, answer the phone, assist with guest questions, and provide critical administrative support to shelter staff.
Time Commitment: 3-hour shift per week with a 6-months to a year or longer commitment.
Available Shifts: Monday to Friday:
9:00 am to 12:00 pm
12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
4:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Location: Howard Levine & Tryon Shelter locations
Age Requirement: 21 and above
