Program Overview
Sunset Farm is a 4-acre urban garden and training hub where we grow nutritionally dense veggies and herbs for distribution through popup markets and an online store. We also offer gardening workshops suitable for all ages and skills covering raised beds and container gardening. We have greenspace that can be used for community and family gatherings and picnics, and by this fall, we'll finish building a beautiful greenhouse.
Volunteer Needs
We need volunteers interested in working outside on a variety of tasks including tilling soil; planting, tending, and harvesting veggies and edible flowers; trimming and mowing grass around the raised beds and fences; helping maintain and beautify the grounds; teaching or assisting with classes. We also have small construction projects, such as building raised garden beds, creating trellises, archways, and gazebos, improving and expanding our storage sheds, among other projects.
