Refugee After-School and Summer Camp Volunteers

From September through June, the Refugee Resettlement program of Catholic Charities Diocese of Charlotte offers an after school program where refugee youth can work on homework and participate in enrichment and recreational activities and in July Catholic Charities puts on a summer camp for these students during the day!

Work with children from all over the world from kindergarten all the way up through middle school. Students need help with homework, language study, doing crafts, science projects and other fun afterschool activities such as kickball and soccer. This is a wonderful opportunity to lend a hand, be a leader and learn about a culture different from your own. Our after-school programs run from 3:00 to 5:30pm Monday - Thursdays with some occasional other times and days available as well. Our Summer Camp is in the morning and early afternoons in July during the week.

This is a fun and very rewarding activity and a great opportunity for high school students. We do also need volunteers aged 21 and over who are willing to drive when needed. Must have a clean driving record.
