Greater Steps Scholars is currently looking for a Social Media intern who will help us communicate with key target audiences including donors, volunteers, students and their families and the community at large. This position requires a self-starter who is social media savvy and knows how to navigate platforms like Sprout Social and Hootesuite. If you enjoy creating content and know how to write clever, eye-catching captions, we want to talk to you! This role will be responsible for the following: • Developing monthly social media calendars that include ideas, content and suggested social media graphics; • Conducting research and creating informed and attractive social media content that appeals to our target audiences. This includes developing graphics and captions for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn; • Monitoring social media insights to determine the efficiency of the campaign and monitoring growth; • Ensuring social media pages are updated regularly, creating posts and advertisements that can be shared to communicate with the public. The postings are responsible for promoting the brand and reputation of the client; and • Responding to comments and engaging with followers is also an important part of this role as we work to increase our interactions and build a stronger community on all social media platforms.
