Each year, the SHARE Charlotte Goodie Awards are given to our nonprofit partners who we feel are most deserving. The awards are fun, unique each year and meant to provide encouragement to all SHARE Charlotte partners. On Thursday, Jan. 25, FOX46's Good Day Charlotte host Page Fehling and her husband Jake Fehling presented the awards at our first-ever SHARE Charlotte Nonprofit Summit.

Best Use of Give Shop: Kindermourn
In September 2017, Kindermourn held a Helping The Hurt Supply Drive and sent supporters to Give Shop to purchase supplies off their wish list!

Best Newcomer to Instagram: Body & Soul Senior Fitness
The photos and videos posted to Body & Soul Senior Fitness’ Instagram account are so entertaining, plus you really understand what a great community of seniors Kathy Joy is supporting. If you are not following them, do so today!

Best Delivery on a Campaign Promise: Andy Goh, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art
Bechtler Museum Digital Communications Specialist Andy Goh also crowdfunded for the museum with a personal goal of raising $250. He said if he hit his $250 goal he would dye his hair “Bechtler red”, and post the results on social media. He did and he did.

Best Attendance at SHARE a Latte:  SMART Start of Mecklenburg County & Heart Math Tutoring
Libby Currier from SMART Start and Connie Barcelo from Heart Math Tutoring did not miss a single one of our monthly SHARE a LBiggest Cheerleader Goodie Award Page Fehling Jake Fehling Charlotte Community ToolBankatte networking coffees!

#GivingTuesdayCLT MVP Award: RunningWorks
Why receiving: RunningWorks participated in #GivingTuesdayCLT for the very first time last year and crushed it! Taking time to focus on a specific goal and using a strategic social media campaign, they were able to surpass their goal of raising $30,000.

Most Patriotic Media Appearance: USO of North Carolina - Charlotte Center
Not only was USO of North Carolina's Ellyn Brotherton up and ready for television at 7 a.m. on the 4th of July, but she cheerfully answered a series of trivia questions on air at FOX Good Day Charlotte! (And got every question right!)

Most Creative Collaboration : Thompson & Promising Pages
Thompson and Promising Pages met at a SHARE a Latte. Thompson needed books for their March Madness Reading Festival and applied to Promising Pages for a donation. Promising Pages donated 400 books to Thompson! Great Collaboration!

Best Business Partnership: Foundation for Girls
Foundation for Girls brought the entire block of 13 stores at the Village of South Park together for a night of giving during #GivingTuesdayCLT and raised over $8,000 for their organization.

Most Improved on Social Media: Autism after 18
Autism After 18 grew their social media presence and content in 2017 using ideas and techniques learned as part of their partnership with SHARE!  

Most Willing to Go Above & Beyond for a Campaign:  Caroline Calouche & Co.
Going Above (literally) - Caroline, in full costume, was lifted up by Panthers player Fozzy Whittaker at #GivingTuesdayCLT Headquarters (Google Fiber) for a photo opp. Going Beyond - Earlier that day Caroline was up on aerial silks at her studio at 5 a.m on for a SHARE Charlotte / WCNC television appearance.

SHARE Charlotte’s Biggest Cheerleader: Charlotte Community ToolBank
Charlotte Community ToolBank Executive Director Maureen Krueger comes to all the SHARE Charlotte events she can, refers others to utilize SHARE Charlotte as a resource and goes out of her way to make sure we have rental needs covered for our events!

Coach’s Award: Changed Choices
In 2017, Changed Choices Executive Director Karen Kovach served on SHARE Charlotte's Nonprofit Advisory Committee. She is always available to answer questions, she leverages our resources and shares her perspective for the betterment of all our nonprofits. AND, she writes the BEST HANDWRITTEN notes!

We are looking forward to all the GOOD that will transpire this year so we can award the 2019 Goodie Awards!
