Childhood Cancer Statistics Hurt, But We Can Help

Written by Addie Rising    on September 18, 2016

Sometimes statistics are just numbers and other times you can look at them and they hit you right in the gut. According to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation 1 in 285 children will be diagnosed with cancer. Stop and think about that. Most of the time, we have good intentions. We want to do the right things, give back and help out. While that sounds lovely in theory, just figuring out where to start keeps many of us from doing anything. The causes and organizations can seem overwhelming at first glance. But it doesn't have to be. That's precisely why SHARE Charlotte is here. We want to make it easy to find ways to give back right now with whatever means you have. Do you have $5? Shop our Give Shop! Do you have five hours? Search our volunteer opportunites. Volunteering doesn’t need to be overwhelming, scary or difficult. You just need to start!  Answer these four questions to help get you going.
