The voting phase is open through Nov. 4 and you can vote up to 10 times per day EVERY DAY for this cause. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, Nov. 30 which would be an amazing way to close out Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month here in Charlotte.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – SHARE Charlotte will launch its 3rd annual #GivingTuesdayCLT campaign, presented by Google Fiber and Wells Fargo, on Nov. 15. The two-week campaign (Nov. 15 - 29) jumpstarts the giving seasoninspiring Charlotteans to give money, time and/or much-needed items to benefit the 173 local nonprofits participating in the campaign.
SHARE Charlotte nonprofit partner Misty Meadows Mitey Riders' founder Harry Swimmer is one of 10 finalists to be named CNN Hero of the Year. Each finalist will receive a $10,000 cash prize. One of the 10 will be named "CNN Hero of the Year," and receive an additional $100,000 for his or her cause. You can vote for the "CNN Hero of the Year" via email, Facebook Messenger and Twitter.
At SHARE Charlotte our hope is that being kind and doing GOOD are at the heart of this community 365 days a year. Halloween is a great day to take a step back, take off the masks, remove the costumes and turn this day into one of treating others.

It wasn't that long ago we were helping our Gulf Coast neighbors in Louisiana and Alabama. Now our own North (and South) Carolina neighbors need any assistance we can offer. Hurricane Matthew made its way up the southern East Coast this weekend and while the storm brought the Charlotte area a lot of wind and rain, our neighbors closer to the coast are dealing with flooding, loss of power and even loss of life. Here are some organizations that are aiding the Hurricane Matthew relief effort:
Hunstad Kortesis Plastic Surgery + MedSpa, Charlotte’s elite plastic surgery and MedSpa center, is putting a fierce spin on it’s sixth Beauty Bash, Oct. 14-15: Philanthropy.
Buoyed by the success of the practice’s Emerging Hopes program that gifts life-changing plastic surgery procedures to deserving individuals in the community, this year’s Beauty Bash will shine the spotlight on local non profits and award one $10,000. The practice worked with SHARE Charlotte to identify three organizations:
