A Brighter Day - BND Ministries
A Brighter Day Ministries seeks to provide biblical and emotional support, mentoring and educational growth for children and young adults in at risk communities.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas
Big Brothers Big Sisters effectively improves the lives of youth and deeply engages communities through involvement with families, mentors, community funders, schools and other partners.

Bright Side Youth Ranch
Inspires the next generation towards hope by pairing children (ages 8-18) with one adult mentor and one horse for an equine mentoring session.

Bruce Irons Camp Fund
We provide residential summer camp, through-the-year enrichment activities, and mentoring to low-income, high potential CMS students for five consecutive years beginning in 5th grade.

Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Creating Exposure Through the Arts
Creating Exposure Through the Arts using the arts, primarily photography, to mentor, educate and empower young artists while providing opportunities for exposure by enabling them to share their artistic expression

Our ultimate goal is to see students in our community on a path of upward mobility through technology access, digital education training and by providing exposure to workforce development opportunities in the technology industry through our Re-Image CLT initiative.

Faith Hope and Love
Faith, Hope, and Love Mentoring is a Christ centered after school care program which serves and assists the students and families in Charlotte. Our program works to take underachieving students (ages K-8) and to bring these students to grade level while developing them socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Firm Foundations Youth & Family Outreach
Firm Foundations Youth & Family Outreach, Inc. provides youth ages 10-18 years old with mentoring support services that will provide academic support, character development and personal growth.

Hip-Hop University
HHU exists to uplift communities via mentoring at-risk youth in participating in their own community and being productive citizens. Our organization influences youth from 13-18 years of age by implementing dance, art, public speaking, technology, and education.

Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas
Nearly a century old, Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.

Kappa Foundation of Charlotte
The Kappa Foundation of Charlotte strives to foster exceptional achievement amongst young men in our county community through diligent role modeling, mentoring, structured involvement and open access to economic scholarship and resources.

Latin Americans Working for Achievement
LAWA is committed to advancing education and quality of life of Latino youth and women in the Charlotte region by offering scholarships,leadership and professional development, academic, and cultural programs.

Trips for Kids Charlotte
TFKC provides transformative cycling experiences for underserved youth. We use biking as a tool to help kids learn life lessons, focused on respect, honesty, teamwork, overcoming obstacles,healthy and safe lifestyle, service.

Urban League of Central Carolinas
ULCC empowers the community to attain financial stability and social justice in a global economy through education, training and placement. Our range of programs can benefit anyone in need of education, skills training, career development, employment services, and youth programs.

WINGS for kids
WINGS is an education program teaching kids how to behave well, make good decisions and build healthy relationships. We help low-income kids experience high quality, effective social and emotional learning.


Circle de Luz
We offer crucial support to young Latinas through programming, mentoring and scholarship funds. Each year we choose a new class of 6 to 8 Latina girls in seventh grade and follow them through high school graduation.

Dream Girls University
DGU is a designated organization dedicated to helping young women and girls become the best they can be. Our core values target building self-confidence, taking responsibility, and teaching them the value of education. We work diligently to organize effective mentoring programs that are in line with our mission and vision.

EmpowHERment, Inc
EmpowHERment's mission is to empower a continuous network of girls and women to be leaders in their community through mentorship, talent development and advocacy.

First Purse
Empowers girls and their communities to be financially literate, invest in their communities and to own their “first purse” of financial independence.

Foundation for Girls
Foundation for Girls is dedicated to nurturing the leader in every girl. We work with at-risk girls in the Charlotte area. Our out-of-school hands-on programs in technology, finance, and leadership, integrate discussions on being a leader and taking charge of one's life, owning it.

Girls Rock Charlotte
Girls Rock Charlotte empowers youth through music education.

Girl Talk Foundation
Develops teen girls (11-16) socially, emotionally and physically to become civically-engaged citizens by offering two empowerment programs to increase self-awareness, improve academic success and reduce unhealthy/risky behaviors.


Augustine Literacy Project
Our mission is to improve the reading, writing, and spelling skills of low-income students who struggle with literacy by providing free, long-term, one-on-one instruction from highly trained volunteer tutors.

Citizen Schools
Citizen Schools partners with middle schools to expand the learning day for low-income children in NC. We mobilize a second shift of afternoon educators, who provide academic support, leadership development, and "apprenticeships"—hands-on projects taught by volunteers from business and civic organizations.

Focus Charlotte
We provide educational support services for the children of Montagnard refugees in West Charlotte. This includes cost-free after school services (homework, literacy, and language skills support) four days a week in a neighborhood setting, summer enrichment, and entrepreneurial training.

Greater Enrichment Program
Provides students with academic, cultural and social instruction in a safe environment. Additional learning opportunities are offered to students and families through community partnerships.

Heart Math Tutoring
Heart Math Tutoring recruits and trains volunteers to work as one-on-one tutors in Title I elementary schools during the school day.

ourBRIDGE is an enrichment program that focuses its efforts in the education and socio-emotional development of children who are new to our country and culture. We provide homework help, hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math projects, and also daily literacy tutoring of the English language.

Pride Entrepreneur Education Program
PEEP provides local youth, ages 10-25 years in underserved communities with education in entrepreneurship, business and financial literacy via group mentoring in-classrooms, Saturday programs and events, and awards annual scholarships.

Reading Partners Charlotte
Reading Partners empowers students to succeed in reading and in life by recruiting and training community volunteers to provide one-on-one literacy tutoring.


Behailu Academy
An arts-based youth development program, during out of school hours, for middle and high school students from a group of Charlotte's Title I schools.

Bethlehem Center of Charlotte
Provides educational opportunities for low-income children and families to improve the quality of their lives.

Cam Newton Foundation
Enhances the lives of youth by addressing their social, physical, educational and emotional needs, emphasizing the importance of making education a priority on a daily basis by addressing the barriers that impede the learning process.

Mama Hope
Works in Grier Heights to develop a youth entrepreneurship program out of which they hope will emerge a business that will generate income to support local youth.

QC Family Tree
As kinfolk rooted in discipleship in West Charlotte, we work to engage with and empower youth, create social entrepreneurship opportunities for young adults, and provide affordable housing options to those facing poverty in our neighborhood.

Right Moves for Youth
RMFY provides students with the resources and guidance to graduate high school with a plan for future success by utilizing group peer and adult mentoring at the students' schools.

Thomas Davis Defending Dreams Foundation
Works to change the lives of underprivileged children and give them hope to do whatever is necessary to defend their dreams.

Youth Development Initiatives
YDI is a proven game changer for older youth ages 14-17. We combine evidence-based life/career development programming and mentoring to prepare youth to graduate high school and transition into post-secondary education, the workforce, or the military.
