HK Centers to Honor SHARE Partners at Beauty Bash

Written by Addie Rising    on October 6, 2016
Hunstad Kortesis Plastic Surgery + MedSpa, Charlotte’s elite plastic surgery and MedSpa center, is putting a fierce spin on it’s sixth Beauty Bash, Oct. 14-15: Philanthropy.

Buoyed by the success of the practice’s Emerging Hopes program that gifts life-changing plastic surgery procedures to deserving individuals in the community, this year’s Beauty Bash will shine the spotlight on local non profits and award one $10,000. The practice worked with SHARE Charlotte to identify three organizations:

American Pit Bull Foundation: Promotes responsible breed ownership through education, programming, and assistance. Through a program called “Operation Sidekick” they help to bridge the gap and exclusively train rescued pit bulls as service dogs to help our veterans overcome the daily struggle of PTSD and depression.

Arts For Life: By providing educational art programs, they enrich the lives of people facing serious illness, nurturing their minds and spirits, and encourage positive healthcare experiences for children and their families. They bring dynamic, educational arts lessons to young patients and families at Levine Children’s Hospital.

Present Age Ministries: Combats the sexual abuse, exploitation and trafficking of teen girls by promoting awareness through community programs and empowering survivors through their residential housing program. It is their goal to rebuild trust, restore hope and redefine love – one life at a time. They work with federal and local agencies; including FBI & Charlotte Task Force and Child Advocacy Centers.
