HKB Cosmetic Surgery's Beauty Bash Supports Charlotte Nonprofits

Hunstad Kortesis Bharti Cosmetic Surgery supports Charlotte's cancer network by offering reconstructive breast surgeries for patients who have had a mastectomy. The center also helps patients with skin cancer by offering procedures to surgically remove cancerous and other skin lesions using specialized techniques to preserve patient's health and appearance.

Hunstad Kortesis Bharti Cosmetic Surgery loves to give back. The center's 7th Annual Beauty Bash takes place Oct. 13-14 at its two locations and for the second year in a row, Beauty Bash will shine the spotlight on local nonprofits and award one $10,000. Hunstad Kortesis Bharti Cosmetic Surgery worked with SHARE Charlotte to identify three local organizations this year:
Redeeming Joy: Is a transformational program that offers sustainable freedoms to women over the age of 18 that have survived human trafficking. They provide holistic and trauma informed services in a safe environment to help bring healing to the complex hurts of those sexually exploited.
RunningWorks: Promotes sport-for-social change. Their programs are designed to encourage individuals and families to rediscover the power of teamwork, discipline, respect and confidence.
BCC Rally: Is an all-volunteer organization that actively engages with our community to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer detection, prevention, treatment and research.

Guests at the Beauty Bash, a popular annual celebration held in both the Huntersville and South Park offices, will have the chance to learn more about each organization and cast a vote toward the $10,000 donation. The event draws large crowds for the informative, educational presentations of procedures and laid-back access to the highly trained staff.

“This is our second year partnering with local Charlotte nonprofits during the Beauty Bash event. We had an overwhelming response to last year's event and saw how much people liked having a vote to support a charity. It's really a great feeling to know that we are supporting our community while helping others educate themselves on our full scope of services," says recently added practice co-owner Dr. Gaurav Bharti, MD, FACS.

The two-day event kicks off 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13 at the SouthPark office, 4625 Piedmont Row Dr., Ste. 135B, Charlotte, with wine and light appetizers. The event continues 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Huntersville office, 11208 Statesville Rd., Ste. 300, Huntersville, with live demonstrations, wine, appetizers and mingling with the HKB team and board-certified plastic surgeons. It is free to attend one or both events, registration in advance is requested. Voting for the nonprofit will be offered onsite for both days.
