The MeckMIN Interfaith Youth Summit

Bridging Backgrounds, Building Community: The MeckMIN Interfaith Youth Summit

At SHARE Charlotte, we believe that understanding and connection are the building blocks of a stronger, more compassionate community. That’s why we’re proud to spotlight the upcoming MeckMIN Interfaith Youth Summit. This one-of-a-kind experience brings together middle and high school youth from different faiths, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds to learn from and with one another.

Here are the details for this year's Summit:

  • 🗓️ Friday, Aug 8 (1pm - 8pm) and Saturday, Aug 9 (10am - 5:30pm)
  • 📍Myers Park United Methodist Church
  • ✅ Space is limited; Registration fees are on a sliding scale/pay what you can.

Held annually, the Summit invites teens across Mecklenburg County to engage in open dialogue, explore one another’s cultural and religious traditions, and build authentic relationships rooted in respect and curiosity. In a world where division too often makes the headlines, this gathering is a powerful reminder that connection is possible - and impactful.

Plus, participants also enjoy great food and fun together!

Why does this matter? Because today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders. When organizations like MeckMIN create spaces for young people to listen, learn, and lead with empathy, we lay the foundation for a more inclusive Charlotte.
