Recap: #WomenGiveCLT
When women in Charlotte come together to lift each other up and give back to their community, the impact is truly powerful!
On April 25, we celebrated our 4th annual #WomenGiveCLT — co-hosted by SHARE Charlotte, Women’s Impact Fund, and Junior League of Charlotte — at the Mint Museum in Uptown. Once again, it was a sold-out event!
Over the past three years, this signature gathering has brought together more than 1,200 incredible women (and men), connecting them with more than 50 nonprofits dedicated to serving women and girls. With less than 2% of charitable giving going to organizations that support women and girls, we know this narrative must change — and events like WomenGiveCLT are helping to lead the way. These connections have sparked hundreds of new relationships, inspired countless volunteers, and added passionate new board members to nonprofit organizations — fueling their missions and momentum. It’s a powerful reminder: women are leading with generosity, and when we come together, our collective impact has the power to transform our entire community.
Each year, we highlight how women can give through time, talent, and treasure and this year we are putting a special emphasis on “talent.” How can we use our unique skills to support nonprofits in meaningful ways?
One of the highlights of the event is the panel discussion, always led by, Dianne Chipps Bailey, Managing Director, National Philanthropic Strategy Executive at Bank of America.
This year our panel included the following participants who shared how they have used their talents to help local nonprofits:
- Sarah Dodd, SVP of Global Merchandising at Lowe’s
- Montseratt (Monty) Mendez, Financial Advisor at Equitable
- Kim Lindstrom, External Engagement Manager with She Built This City
What an incredible night of impact to bring together amazing nonprofits with women and men who want to find board, volunteer or committee positions with these women and girls serving nonprofits.
A huge thanks to our sponsors, Lowe’s and the Equitable Foundation for their continued support of this event!
The event featured these amazing Women and Girls Serving nonprofits and attendees were provided a #WomenGiveCLT Digital Guide so they could preview exactly what the nonprofits needed:
