SHARE Charlotte Adds Five Directors to Board


Diverse Mix of Business and Community Leaders Will Help Organization Grow

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 9, 2018) – SHARE Charlotte, a one-stop shop to connecting to hundreds of Charlotte nonprofits, today announced the addition of five new members to its board of directors.  They are:

Colleen Brannan, owner of BRANSTORM PR, has 25+ years of public relations experience at top national firms, large corporations, niche consultancies and her own firm since 2006. She has been named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Charlotte by the Mecklenburg Times twice and one of the Top 25 Women in Business by the Charlotte Business Journal.  A graduate of Leadership Charlotte Class 30, she has served on the boards of JDRF, Autism Speaks, Charlotte Chamber Metro Chapter, PRSA-Charlotte, NAWBO-Charlotte and Providence Day School Parent Association.

Kelly Brooks founded SHARE Charlotte in 2012.  Through SHARE, Brooks is responsible for creating community-wide giving campaigns that have raised over $20M of value for nonprofits since 2014. She is now the founder and CEO of a Share Good Software, a new business venture that will expand the concept and model of SHARE Charlotte to other cities.  Brooks has served on multiple local boards including Council for Children’s Rights, Charlotte Bilingual Preschool and currently, Providence Day School's Board of Trustees.

Ashley Williams Clark is the Director of Outreach and Strategic Partnerships, and interim director of ISC at UNC Charlotte Urban Institute.  Clark is a community researcher who focuses on affordable housing and homelessness. She earned her Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Clark is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Community Foundation, and currently serves on the board of the Bruce Irons Camp Fund and Circle de Luz.

Brandon Lofton, a Partner at Robinson Bradshaw, works to help cities, counties, hospitals, universities and non-profits finance capital projects that serve the public good.  Lofton currently serves on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Housing Advisory Board and recently served as president of the board for the Council for Children’s Rights. He chaired the city of Charlotte’s Disparity Study Advisory Committee and led an initiative to convene conversations around issues of access and equity during the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

Garrett Tichy is the founder and owner of Hygge Coworking and the cofounder of smpl, a coworking software.  Tichy created and managed #WeLoveCLT, a popular speaker series, Instagram, podcast and newsletter that was created with the intention to bring people together and highlight what there is to love about life in Charlotte.  Hygge is a partner of CreativeMornings Charlotte and Tichy regularly donates his three Hygge locations for nonprofit and community collaborations.

Continuing board members include Kristin Hills Bradberry (Strategic Advisor to Nonprofits), Mary Gallivan (Director of Student Success at Tech Talent South) and Joe Ryan (COO of Skookum).
