📚 Classroom Central: Create Flashcards
Flashcards help local students build their vocabulary and boost reading skills! Classroom Central makes it easy to volunteer from home - just download their templates, assemble flashcards, and send them in. Note: There has been such an overwhelming response to this role, that it’s no longer available, but you can serve Classroom Central in other ways.
🥪 Roof Above: Sandwich & Bag Lunch Program
Roof Above serves 600 sandwiches or provides 300 lunch bags each day – that is over 200,000 sandwiches/100,000 lunch bags on an annual basis! Roof Above needs helping hands to prepare and donate sandwiches and bag lunches for neighbors experiencing homelessness.This is done off-site and perfect for large groups.
💖 Champion House of Care Project One, Inc.: Look Good Feel Better Self Care Packs for Homeless Kids
Everyone deserves to feel cared for - especially children. Help assemble self-care kits filled with hygiene essentials and a little love. Your contribution goes straight to kids in need in our community.
🗣️ GenerationNation: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Youth Council
Calling all teens! This opportunity lets youth take the mic and make their voices heard. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Youth Council brings students into the conversation on local government, education, and leadership.
🍎 Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina: Sorting and Inspecting Food / Non-Food Donations
Lend a hand at the warehouse! Volunteers help inspect and sort donated food and non-food items so they’re ready to reach thousands of families across the region. It’s a high-impact, feel-good way to spend a few hours.
🎭 Children’s Theatre of Charlotte: Volunteer to Usher
Love live theatre? Combine your passion for the arts with community service by ushering for performances. Whether seating a classroom of kindergarteners about to enjoy their first live theatre performance or helping a family of six find seats together during opening night excitement, ushers ensure that CTC patrons enjoy the very best experience possible.

Help deliver stuffed animals (aka hugs) to children facing tough times. Whether they’re in hospitals, shelters, or foster care, a soft, snuggly friend can provide a sense of comfort when they need it most.
🫶 Carolina Caring: Patient Support
Make a meaningful connection. Carolina Caring is looking for compassionate volunteers to provide companionship and support to patients receiving hospice care. A listening ear or a gentle presence can make all the difference.
🌍 ourBRIDGE for KIDS: Event Volunteers!
