Strides for Shelter will hosting its 6th race on October 22, 2022. Since the inception of the Strides for Shelter 5K in 2016, the Canopy Housing Foundation has returned $91,760 from the race proceeds to several worthy local beneficiaries who are all working to address the needs of the homeless. Participation has increased each year, with 2021 attracting nearly 600 participants. A new beneficiary agency for this year's race will be chosen shortly, and volunteer opportunities for the day of the race will be needed and available in October.
