SUMMER ARTS Camp: Making Books into Art

Kids and teens, unfold bookmaking possibilities! Alumna artist April Marten (Summer 2018) will virtually teach 11 to 16 year-old students the art of books from creation to transformation. Students will learn fundamental stitching techniques to make and bind their own books, and how to transform existing books into unique art objects. Artwork created during the week will be shown in a virtual Artwork Showcase on the last day of class.

All supplies for the week will be provided in the camp art box. Delivery to Mecklenburg and Gaston counties are included in the camp cost. If you are outside these counties, you will be contacted to pay a $15 shipping fee.
