Teach Children to Be Prepared for Emergencies

The American Red Cross’s Youth Preparedness presentations are free disaster preparedness
programs offered by the Red Cross across the country. Students in grades K-5 receive a 30- to
60-minute lesson and supplies to take home. The highly interactive lesson presentation teaches
students coping skills, how to stay safe in home fires and other local hazards, and how they can
empower their local communities to be more resilient!
