Trail Build - Community Volunteer Workday

Help build a new trail! Extend an existing trail another .75 miles! Currently, Pharr Family Preserve is a beautiful 1.7 miles through the woods and along the Rocky River. Join staff and volunteer Trail Masters as we clear vegetation and rough cut the tread of this new trail.

No experience in trail building needed! We will show you exactly what to do. It’s easy!

Carolina Thread Trail will provide project direction, tools, work gloves, water, Gatorade, snacks, and lunch. Volunteers must be 16 years to volunteer and accompanied by an adult if under 18. Volunteers must wear closed toe shoes to participate and encouraged to bring a water bottle to refill at the workday and a daypack to hold their personal belongings.

All registered volunteers will receive an event details email the Monday of the workday and a reminder the day before by 12noon with a weather update. The rain date for this workday is Saturday, March 30th.
