As residents near the completion of the 120 day recovery program, many of them begin to focus on obtaining their GED, with the goal of obtaining stable, long-term employment. Volunteers will meet virtually with residents and work with them in reading/writing or math to help bridge gaps in education. Volunteers will help prepare residents (with varying academic levels) to take the GED exam. Orientation, training and materials will be provided. Tutors must be at least 18 years of age, able to pass a background check and will be interviewed by staff.
