Bleeding Disorders Foundation of North Carolina

Event:
Women with Bleeding Disorders Program Fundraiser
Join Hemophilia of North Carolina at a pottery painting party to support the SOAR Program. SOAR is a support group of Hemophilia of North Carolina that serves women and girls with bleeding disorders. Did you know that it takes on average 16 years from the onset of symptoms for a woman to receive an accurate diagnosis? And that 30,000 women have unnecessary hysterectomies each year due to heavy bleeding that could be treated without surgery? Help us to change those statistics by supporting this event. The SOAR Program strives to support women and girls with bleeding disorders through providing education, peer support, and advocacy among healthcare professionals so they can identify the signs and symptoms of a bleeding disorder. Wine, non-alcoholic drinks, and light snacks are provided. Registration costs $45 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to Hemophilia of North Carolina to support the SOAR Program and its initiatives in 2018.
