Event:
Junior Historian Day: Writing the Revolution

Dive into the rich history of the American Revolution as we explore 18th-century writing and communication methods used by Patriots in the Carolina Backcountry! Participants will have the unique opportunity to practice their penmanship using authentic quill pens and ink, immersing themselves in the art of handwritten communication from centuries past. Additionally, families can get creative by crafting their own bookmarks, inspired by the era. Cap off the experience by signing a replica of the Declaration of Independence! Join us for a day of historical discovery and hands-on fun for all ages!

Registration for this program includes participation in revolution-inspired crafts & activities, a guided tour of the 1774 Alexander Rock House, and museum admission.
