Event:
Junior Historian Day: What's the Stitch?

Embark on a journey into the past with our second Jr. Historian Day Summer Series’ program at Charlotte Museum of History!
Dive into the world of colonial textile artisanship as we explore the techniques practiced by settlers on the Alexander homesite. Participants will have the opportunity to stitch their own haversack, learning valuable skills while connecting with the daily lives of early American settlers. Take home a cross-stitch kit to continue the creative journey, and gain insight into colonial fashion in the Carolina Backcountry. Join us for a hands-on experience that brings history to life through the art of stitching!

Registration for this program includes participation in colonial textile-inspired crafts & activities, a guided tour of the 1774 Alexander Rock House, and museum admission.
