Spectrum Center (Fundraiser Event)

Volunteers will help our organization manage and operate concession stands at Spectrum Center Arena for our fundraising events.

 Duties will include

1. **Setup and Preparation**: 
  - Arrive early to set up the concession stand, including arranging displays, organizing supplies, and ensuring cleanliness.
  - Check inventory levels and restock items as needed, such as food, beverages, condiments, and packaging materials.

2. **Customer Service**:
  - Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders.
  - Take orders accurately and efficiently, using a cash register or POS system if applicable.
  - Answer customer inquiries about menu items, pricing, and any special promotions.

3. **Food Handling and Preparation**:
  - Prepare food items according to established recipes and quality standards.
  - Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are followed at all times, including proper storage, handling, and cooking temperatures.
  - Maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas, including regularly sanitizing surfaces and equipment.

4. **Cash Handling and Transactions**:
  - Accept payment from customers, handling cash, credit/debit cards, or other forms of payment securely.
  - Provide correct change and process transactions accurately.
  - Keep track of sales and reconcile cash at the end of each shift.

5. **Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization**:
  - Clean and sanitize the concession stand regularly throughout the day, including countertops, equipment, and dining areas.
  - Dispose of trash and recycling properly.
  - Keep the area well-organized to maximize efficiency and safety.

6. **Monitoring Inventory and Replenishing Supplies**:
  - Keep track of inventory levels and notify management when items need to be reordered.
  - Rotate stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
  - Monitor product expiration dates and remove expired items from inventory.

7. **Promotion and Upselling**:
  - Inform customers about any special deals, promotions, or combo offers.
  - Suggest additional items to customers to increase sales (e.g., upselling a larger size or adding toppings).

8. **Teamwork and Communication**:
  - Collaborate with other concession stand staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
  - Communicate effectively with coworkers and management regarding any issues or concerns that arise.

9. **Cleanup and Closing Duties**:
  - Break down the concession stand at the end of the event or shift, including cleaning equipment and packing up leftover inventory.
  - Secure cash and other valuables and follow closing procedures as instructed by management.

10. **Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations**:
   - Follow all health and safety guidelines and regulations set by local authorities.
   - Report any safety hazards or concerns to management promptly.
   - Attend training sessions on food safety and other relevant topics as required.
