Blumenthal Performing Arts is a regional performing arts center serving a 16-county region in the Carolinas. It builds its season around the PNC Broadway Lights with new touring shows from Broadway with "extras" available. It manages four theaters in the center city where the curtain goes up on more than 1,000 events annually, an astounding number, including performances by our 16 resident companies. Music, Plays, Dance, Comedy, Festivals, Original Works and more make up the buffet of choices presented by Blumenthal. Education, outreach and access programs for youth, families, and adults are often underway several times a week, reaching more than 150,000 students each year. With free community programs like the new Charlotte International Arts Festival, Blumenthal Performing Arts now reaches more than 500,000 individuals per year, altering the culture and local landscape of the Charlotte region, and infuses more than $75 million annually into our local economy. Blumenthal Performing Arts is supported by its members and donors. We thank all groups and individuals that support Blumenthal whether that be financially or through participation by attending our performances and community events. It is for these positive partnerships and relationships that Blumenthal strives to be a catalyst for change in Charlotte.
