Blumenthal Arts uniquely serves the region with high-quality arts, education, and community events. While best known for hosting Broadway shows, much of the organization is dedicated to high-impact education and community programs that only BA has the expertise and capacity to offer. As a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization, ticket revenue only covers a portion of production and operating costs. We rely on private support and critical government funding to produce impactful community programming for all. In 2023, Blumenthal welcomed more than 1.1MM visitors, infused $93.75MM into the local economy, put over $1MM into artists' pockets, and employed more than 750 people. Blumenthal’s leadership recognizes the significant gap in access to professional performing arts for many in our community, and the transformative power of engaging those from all backgrounds to benefit from experiencing them. Specifically, we work to connect with our local youth. Blumenthal’s programming opens doors and creates pathways for children and families in our community –especially those from under resourced neighborhoods and schools - to explore careers in the performing arts and provides meaningful and healthy outlets to express their creativity. Central to our mission is to be inclusive and accessible.
