What We Do
Providing opportunities to be captured by the performing arts since 1992, Blumenthal Performing Arts is dedicated to sharing and employing the arts as a major catalyst to strengthen education, build community cohesiveness and advance economic growth within Charlotte.
The success of each performance is made possible not only by each performer, but by the community members’ that support through attending. As a desire to give back to the community, Blumenthal continues to provide more than 20 education, outreach, and access programs related to performing arts for the community. Last year, our community and education programs reached over 25,000 people and provided both free and discounted tickets for children who otherwise could not experience and discover the wonder of live theater.
Blumenthal Performing Arts is supported by its members and donors, the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, the annual fund drive of the Arts & Science Council of Charlotte/Mecklenburg, Inc., and the Grassroots Arts Program of the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency. We thank all groups and individuals that support Blumenthal whether that be financially or through participation by attending our performances. It is for these positive partnerships and relationships that Blumenthal strives to be a catalyst for change in Charlotte.
