Steve Smith Family Foundation

Established in 2013, Steve and Angie Smith set out to create an organization that would allow their entire family to give back to the community. The Steve Smith Family Foundation focuses on the mental health and wellness of families and underserved communities.  

In March of 2023, the foundation opened up Mecklenburg county's first Behavioral Health Urgent Care, operated by Daymark Recovery Services, is a designated intervention and treatment center where community members with urgent primary behavioral health needs will receive triage, care and referrals. 

In May 2023, in partnership with Charlotte Community Health Clinic (CCHC) opened an Express Care which offers same-day medical services for patients that are looking for immediate access to primary care. The Clinic accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, as well as those without insurance.
