How does a Volunteer Learning Activation Partner make an impact?
As students complete a hands-on learning project, Volunteer Learning Activation Partners lead an engaging career readiness workshop that exposes students to new careers and connects the project topic to real world career opportunities. Volunteers commit to attend (2) virtual classroom visits and are intentionally matched with students that are working on hands-on learning projects related to your profession. We will schedule the workshop according to your schedule.
What will you do?
- Lead an engaging career readiness workshop that introduces new careers to students
- Connect the project skills to learnings from your own educational or career experiences
- Answer questions about the project topic and problem, and provide feedback on their finished work
What is the commitment and training like?
- Volunteers commit to attend (2) hour-long classroom sessions
- Training/Support will be provided
