City Startup Labs focuses its work primarily on increasing socio-economic mobility for justice-impacted individuals through 2 programs: our Reentry Entrepreneurship Program (REEP) and the Restorative Pathways Project (RP).
REEP focuses on digital tech services and entrepreneurial training, and will prepare the participants to start their own business, begin a new career, or improve their value at their current job. This program is only open to formerly incarcerated or justice-involved persons.
Restorative Pathways is a workforce development program that works directly with employer clients to train and upskill employees and prepare them for careers in healthcare.
As a compliment to our work with our participants, we help to seed their social capital with Accountability Partners (mentors). These volunteer Accountability Partners (APs) are attentive listeners, tasked with helping our participants navigate a rigorous process and the associated coursework, as well as making sure that they maintain their commitment to their futures. APs will be asked to commit to developing a relationship with our participants over the course of 6+ months of the program through weekly check-ins. You will also receive support for this role through regular meetings with other APs as well as CSL staff. If this role appeals to you, please apply on our website and we will get back to you shortly.
